Melia loves wearing hats! And she has gotten more use out of Cameron's old bouncy horse than he ever did.
They still adore their bath times together. Especially a "boo boo bath" as Melia calls a bubble bath.
A few Melia stories to go with all her pictures.
- Haley took the kids to the park. They saw a lady walking a German Shepherd. Melia started pointing & screaming "Cow! Cow! Cow!".
- She colors on EVERYTHING with sidwalk chalk! The first picture is her sitting in a box they like to play in out on the patio. She has chalk all over the box, wall, chair beside it...and the innocent look of "what happened".
- She loves Cameron's big boy bed! So much so that I've had times I would love to get out the toddler bed and try it out with her. Just not sure we can put her to bed at night in it yet.
- She does love wearing stuff in her hair now...sometimes everything she owns all at the same time.
- She loves a "dipper". I have been trying and trying and trying to get a video of her. When she has something she can dip (a breadstick, a chicken nugget, french fries, etc.) she will start saying "dipper, dipper, dipper" over and over. It sounds a little like "deeper". Loses her mind until she has something to dip in. And of course she just licks it off and re-dips. This is the reason she gets her own bowl of salsa when we go to a mexican restaurant (she oves her salsa).
- She has started saying "Morning" when she wakes up. She gets such a kick out of us saying it back that she now says it every time she wakes up and we walk into her room (regardless of time of day)...and will periodically throw it out. She's very proud of herself when she figures out those little phrases everyone else is using.
- Melia has learned the word "whiner". Every time she sees Cameron (or anyone) crying. She will point and say "whiner...whiner...whiner". She really only means it as "look, he's crying" but it sounds like she is poking fun. It is hysterical.
They love playing in the rain together. Our patio gathers little puddles all over. They like to run through them, splash, and even bend down to put their hair in it. Such cheap entertainment.
She loves to sing songs! She recently discovered Cameron's old nursery rhymes DVD. It was always his favorite, and is quickly becoming one of hers. She will sit through the entire thing and attempt to sing along. Here is a video of her trying to sing her ABC's.
She has also learned to say come here when she wants us to follow her or do something. She will wave her little hand and scream "Came Here". This video is the only one I've been able to get...and she only said it one time with prompting.
