Thanksgiving

First Thanksgiving in Orlando. Grandma Beth decided to come down and visit at the last minute. Cameron and Melia made hats with Haley that they got to show off.

We cooked our normal Thanksgiving dinner. Melia had a great time eating hers. She had it all through her hair! Loved that we were all laughing at her. Then made her squinty face.

Of course, we had to take Grandma to Disney. This was our first time seeing the electrical parade. By parade time, Cameron was getting cranky. Melia loved the lights and the characters! He ended up falling asleep in the stroller on the monorail...while Melia whooped it up and entertained all those that would watch.

The rest of the weekend was pretty low key playing at home. Walked over to the park. The kids got their early Christmas present from Grandma...a wagon!! They were so excited! Of course I think those photos all ended up on Grandma's camera.

First Disney Trip!

We are officially Disney annual pass holders! We had to do the classic photo with Mickey. Melia wasn't so sure. I really wish David had the video camera rolling. She went right up to him and was nose to nose for a few seconds. Then she realized what she was doing and freaked out! We already had to bribe Cameron to take the picture and she refused to stay unless I was there holding her. We took what we could get.

The Cinderella's Castle shot didn't work as well. Neither one would look at the camera.

We were there all day! On most of the rides she was scared (actually shaking on some). Although, I would say her favorite is It's a Small World. She just kept pointing and saying "baby". Then Dumbo. Like Cameron, I think she liked the play area in the line better then the ride. And of course, Buzz Light Year. Got right in there and tried to shoot the gun and move the car. Overall, she did great.

Talking & Eating - What she does best.

Melia is a chatter box and a little parrot. However, no matter what we do there are words Melia just can't say. For the longest time chips were meaps. Milk is still Nilk. And for some reason, cup used to be bup. She could clearly make the "c" sound. We could get her to say cracker and any other "c" word. But cup still came out bup. She used to refer to her blanket as her beep. We still call it that to this day...even though she can say blanket now. The other one she can never quite get is lotion. It's always fotion. Even if you get her to say la-la-la-lotion. It comes out la-la-la-fotion.

This girl also loves her food!! We discovered a great BBQ place here. Melia loves their mashed sweet potatos. So much so she will lick the container. She's also getting pretty good with a spoon!

Happy Halloween

It's our first Halloween in Orlando, and Melia's first time to carve a pumpkin. She started out intrigued...probably because we had spoons and she thought she was going to get some food. I know she tried to eat her first scoop. Then she was clearly not impressed!! Couldn't get her to get her hands dirty. Typical kid...surprised me. Cameron dug right in this year.

Cameron's pumpkin.

Melia's pumpkin.

We tried to get a couple of cute photos. Melia was a huge fan of the little pumpkins because she thought they were balls. I'm surprised they made it very long...let alone long enough to take these pics.

This was Melia's first year to really dress up. Cameron was Mario, so we dressed Melia up as Princess Peach. She loved the dress. Couldn't get her to wear the crown for long. We did a little trick or treating through the neighborhood. Melia had a great time running up and down the sidewalk. She did walk up to a few doors and collected a little candy. But she was really more along for the ride/walk.

We also made a trip to the corn maze. They had a little kids area and an adult area. We opted for the kids one since it was still an acre to cover. It was so warm. Poor Melia ended up pantless. She really looked like a scum baby as we got going. After our trek through the maze, we walked through the sprinkler maze to cool off. She was soaked by that point, which cooled her off and revived her. She LOVED the scarecrows. We couldn't get her away from them. Then the big tire sandbox was a hit. They were so filthy by the time we left.

Welcome to Orlando!

Our first week here we had rain and thunderstorms almost the entire week. Melia loved her first thunderstorm. We were out on the porch until it got raining too much. Then she watched from the windows.

Our first couple of weeks were spent cleaning the house, getting back to work, and finding a new nanny. Our second week here we had luck with finding Haley! The kids have transitioned really well with her and we've gotten into a good routine. It was tough those first couple of weeks because we were without our stuff. The kids watched a lot of tv.

They have perfected the art of dancing!

Hard to believe, but Melia had her first corn on the cob after we got here! She kept trying to eat the cob.

She also had her first silly string fight. She was less than impressed!!

She did enjoy her first lunch at T-Rex (dinosaur themed restaurant). Cameron was a little worried that she was standing too close.

Fun with Cameron in a bubble bath!

Styling as always.

Ready for a walk.

Following in Cameron's footsteps.
