Being a nice girl...sometimes. When she wants to be sweet, she is sweet. When she doesn't, watch out! She's got quite a temper and little personality.
Melia is growing so fast!! Believe it or not she is exactly 3 inches taller than Cameron was at her age! Still just barely in 24 month clothes (at 18 months now).
This is her mean face!! Not sure what happened, but she certainly wasn't happy about it.
My little lady (wearing my shoes). She will actually wear a barrette in her hair now! I think it's because every time I put it in I say "pretty" and she likes that. LOL.
Melia really started to show an interest in the potty. She's really figured it out and it seems like this process could be a lot easier with her than it ever was with Cameron. In the photo below she is wearing a pair of her new undies over her clothes. She is fascinated. We have Cameron's old duck potty out...though we haven't put batteries in it to have it quack when she goes. We also got out his Dora seat. She knows Dora and will ask to "po potty on back pack". She has done really well!! Asks to go and when she hears the "potty timer" (oven timer) go off she knows right away what it means...even if we are cooking she will stop and say "po potty". She stayed really consistent with it for a couple of weeks...then decided she was no longer interested. It became a stall tactic to go to bed...and a fight to get her to sit on it. Now we just let her go when she asks to go and will attempt it again soon.
She really wants to be just like her big brother! Here she is wearing his monkey robe.
Melia also developed a facination with America's Funniest Home Videos. We went through a phase where every night it was on before bed! At first Melia was really concerned while watching it and people were falling. After watching the rest of us laughing, she started to figure it out. They are both completely glued to the tv for the entire show! The funniest part is she really gets into clapping for the videos! As soon as a video ends or she hears the crowd there start to clap, she is right there to join in.
